What do newborns babies wear home from the hospital?

I work in the hospital with newborns in the US and I met a new mom from England who was visiting in the US and was taking her newborn home from the hospital. She had the most beautiful outfit and bunting or blanket set and when I admired it she named it and said that in ENgland that is what people use to dress their babies in when going home from the hospital. I cannot remember what she said it was called and I really want to try and purchase one for my new niece and was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what it is called and where to find it. THanks so much! It was white and soft and covered in lace and was exquisite. It may have even been 2 different items, I cannot recall anything much except that it was white and very fancy.
